Pete Wentz is a friend of the band Gym Class Heroes so it shouldn’t be a surprise that he has some comments on Travis McCoy’s arrest for assault. Pete says in his blog “you know what? you call my friend a “n_gger”, i dont even give a fuck what happens to you. i dont want to see you in this scene. i dont want to see you at shows. you are who we write songs about. you are who we think about when we hate. radiohead, karma police over and over again in my head. what a joke. you are fucking pathetic and anyone that disagrees should put their white hood on too. i dont want your ticket money. i dont want your cd sales. id rather be poor and unknown. i am angrier than i have been in a long time. hate upon hate upon hate. thank god for my friends.”

Rihanna was spotted wearing a weird feathery headpiece as she shot her new video for the song ‘Disturbia’ in Los Angeles earlier this week. The 20-year old Barbadian babe was also spotted wearing another strange, but very hot, outfit of tattered pieces of tartan in various colors, fishnet stockings and bright red pumps. If her clothes are anything to go by, it looks like the video is going to be another hot one. ‘Disturbia’, the self-proclaimed summer anthem of 2008, was co-written and features background vocals but as yet confirmed boyfriend Chris Brown. The video is directed by famed photographer/director David LaChapelle.

The US just won’t budge and has completely denied Boy George’s appeal for a work visa request to enter. As a result, the singer’s summer tour has been postponed until next year. In a statement, Boy George said “I was really hoping that the issue would be resolved and that some kind soul at the US Visa Office would realize that if the police in the UK placed no restrictions on my movements, that should have been good enough for them. I am very sorry that I will not see all my American fans this year, but I wish them a happy and healthy Fourth of July. I include the Visa Office in those good wishes and realize they are doing a very difficult job and I just got unlucky.”

Do you remember when Paul McCartney said that the Beatles were more popular than Jesus Christ. Apparently Heidi Montag doesn’t because she totally compared herself to Him.

Heidi starts out by saying she has decided she wants to record a Christian album. I guess her other music isn’t sitting so well, She says her reason is because, in her words, “I have been the most religious person since I was 2 years old. I always felt this crazy connection to God.” Umm, yeah.

Then, as she discusses all the rumors of sex tapes, Heidi says, “God knows the truth in all of this, and at the end of the day, that is the only thing that matters. Jesus was persecuted, and I’m going to get persecuted, ya know?

She didn’t just surprise concert goers, but she shocked Nashville Star judge Jeffery Steele as well. The fundraiser was a concert for the Alex LeVasseur Fund, which was created by Steele to honor his son who died in an ATV accident in 2007, at only 13 years old.

Steele shocked the audience by introducing Billy Ray Cyrus, who performed two songs. Then, to everyone’s surprise, Miley ran onstage and asked to perform a song. She wanted to sing “Simple Song” which she recorded. It was the only song written by Steele that was on his son’s IPOD. It was an emotional occassion.

Miley Cyrus is featured on the cover of the new issue of Billboard. She talks about a lot of things like Vanity Fair, fans being shut out of her last tour, Hannah Montana, acting in a flick not related to Disney or Hannah Montana, on being a role model, but the most interesting part for me was when she talked about her new album and her songwriting. She says “It’s grown-up. I wrote all the songs except two… I wrote my first song when I was probably 7–it was called ‘Pink.’ That shows what kind of song it was about—it’s about the color pink. But you know what, darn it, I wrote it and I’ve been writing since I was my little sister’s age.” She tries so hard to be an artist.

The country version of American Idol, Nashville Star, wanted the Pussycat Dolls to perform on Monday’s show but they instead wound up with their lingerie-clad, gyrating, girl group clone Danity Kane. Sources say that, as of last Thursday, PCD confirmed that they would perform on the show as part of that night’s ‘Pop Goes Country’ theme and their participation already started to get promoted. Then on Friday, Interscope tried to get PCD’s tween label mates Clique Girlz, booked on the show. That didn’t sit well with Nashville Star so they instead got Danity Kane on the show. If you ask me, getting the Clique Girlz would have been a better move.

Avril Lavigne’s fans are shamelessly cheating their way to the top! My most hated Canadian singer’s fans are deceptively working to drive the video for ‘Girlfriend’ to YouTube’s most watched top spot – the #1 most viewed video of all time. The top spot currently belongs to the ‘History of Dance’ clip. Avril fans have sent out emails to people getting them to watch Avril’s video as many times as possible and they have even set up automated YouTube view-boosting sites. The pages automatically reload the video every 15 seconds to rack up as many hits as possible. Honestly, they’re doing absolutely nothing but making her look lamer than she already is.

Singer/musician Kate Voegele recently stopped by MTV’s Total Request Live at the MTV Times Square Studios in New York City on Monday. The 21-year old is currently signed on to MySpace Records which is distributed by Interscope Records. Her debut album ‘Don’t Look Away’ was released in May of last year. Her band mates include Mark Tobik on bass and Sam Getz on guitar. This year, Kate will be opening for Natasha Bedingfield and The Veronicas on the Verizon VIP tour. Apart from her singing, Kate is also well known for her guest spots on the popular CW show, ‘One Tree Hill’.

Amy Winehouse may have gotten out of the hospital on Monday but not before she got diagnosed with emphysema. Wino’s date talked to the press about the severity of her illness saying “The doctors have told her if she goes back to smoking drugs it won’t just ruin her voice, it will kill her. The doctors have said that if she had continued the way she was going she could have ended up an invalid — she wouldn’t have been able to breathe… If she doesn’t go back to drugs, then she can lead this magnificent life. We are praying that that’s what Amy really wants. She seems resolute.”

Fashion…seems like it would be something Heidi Montag would know a lot about.  Instead, it’s a pile of garbage.

Heidi’s single was pre-released…leaked…whatever you want to call it….and most response to it has been negative.  The vocals are ridiculously synthesized.

Umm, so maybe that’s why she’s crying….

Timbaland got married again at the weekend. The record producer – who officially tied the knot with long-term partner Monique Idlett earlier this month – had a lavish ceremony yesterday in the Caribbean island of Aruba in front of hundreds of guests.

An onlooker said: “It was a beautiful day and it confirmed their love for each other.”

Missy Elliot and singer Keri Hilson, who worked with Timbaland on his single ‘Scream’, were among the guests who had received feather-filled clear invitations.

When the couple first tied the knot on June 10, they opted for a low-key ceremony and wore sweat pants as they secretly wed in front of a family pastor in a Virginia church.

Timbaland, real name Timothy Z. Mosley, and Monique, who works as a music publicist, welcomed their first daughter Reign in November.

The 37-year-old music mogul - who has collaborated with Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado and Madonna - proposed to Monique at Reign’s baby shower last October.

Rihanna was spotted looking mighty beautiful as she left Madison Square Garden on Wednesday in New York City. The 20-year old R&B singer and Ne-Yo were special guests who joined the lineup for the night on Alicia Keys’ ‘As I Am’ tour. It’s most likely that the duo performed their hit ‘Hate that I Love You’. Alicia’s tour has been building upon the success of her latest album ‘As I Am’. Add Rihanna and Ne-Yo into the mix and we’re guaranteed a hot show from start to finish. I wish I was there to see all three R&B hit makers together.

Some people are really pissed at MTV. Reports are saying that the MTV offices in Mumbai, India had its windows smashed with rocks, banners torn and some furniture damaged on Monday. 70 Sikh protesters reportedly targeted the office because they found MTV posters for a show which featured a Sikh girl massaging a man quite offensive. The protesters were arrested and have since been released on bail. An MTV lawyer said that no one was injured in the so-called attack and that they would consider the protesters demands to remove the offending posters. They should just take them down so nothing violent would happen ag
